NEBA 2016 KEMPSON VASES
A
n excellent turnout of 24 qualifying teams were due to play in the Kempson Vases Final at Stannington. Unfortunately, after a long drive to the venue, one team had to scratch when a team member failed to appear. Again, it was good to see a number of new faces playing in NEBA events for the first time. The competition was played in a very friendly spirit throughout. At the interval Frank Springett's team were well in the lead, but an excellent second half performance by David Rossiter's Stockton team snatched the victory. It was great to see this team's genuine excitement and joy at winning.
As usual, the event was very well directed and scored by Chris Benneworth.

The winners were Frank Springett, Mike Stanbury , Brenda Osborne and Colin Hepworth. Runners up were the team shown below Ian Reynolds, Jenny Grist, Paul Clarke, David Rossiter.

Re-scoring was due to a mis-entered score that was mistakenly confirmed by E/W. (Subsequently challenged & corrected.)
