NEBA Pairs Events

Chronicle Cups
This pairs competition is the NEBA's premier green pointed competition. Round one is open to all and played in the clubs. Qualifiers will play in one of three semi finals, followed by the green pointed final for the Chronicles Cup or the consolation final for the St Georges Shield.

Aggregate Pairs
Played over 20 boards this competition is a good, very friendly, opportunity to experiment with your system. Using freely dealt hands, the results are determined by whether you 'get the points' rather than how good you are. Not running in 2011/12

Gazette Cups
If you would like to earn over 1000 MPs in one competition this is the competition for you. A qualifying round is played in affiliated clubs and the final is in two sessions. Those failing to make the cut will play for the Gazette Shield. There is a carry over score for the final, but not for the Shield.

King Cup
Originally a ladies teams event it became the only NEBA ladies pairs event in 1955. It is played in two sessions from 2 pm to 8.30 pm (ish)

Deane Salver
This is a two session mixed pairs competition named after one of the North East's bridge legends Arnold Deane.

Summer Pairs
A two session pairs competition.
To play in this event, players must qualify in one of the heats held in NEBA affiliated bridge clubs.
