Below is a list of the main centres that offer either formal bridge classes or supervised play where beginners can get a taste of duplicate bridge. Click on the left hand column for further details of what is on offer in your area.

If you cannot get to any of these classes or supervised play sessions we have published as a courtesy, details of a few local non-affiliated clubs and to the Newcastle and District Bridge League, but please remember that if you attend any of these non-affiliated clubs, the established rules and ethics of Duplicate Bridge cannot be guaranteed or enforced.

Ponteland Tuesday Bridge Club
The club plays Duplicate Bridge at all levels in a friendly and informal atmosphere.
Meeting are held on Tuesdays in the Memorial Hall, Ponteland
from 7pm to 10pm from 16th September 2008 to 15th May 2009
The subscription is £25 for the season.
Present membership is about 60 but new members are welcome.

We are looking for NEW MEMBERS to play duplicate bridge.  
Meetings are held on Friday at Merton Hall, Ponteland from 7pm to 10pm approx.

12.45 - 3 pm Inga Aiston runs a duplicate bridge (supervised play)
Beginners can play Chicago outside the main movement.

Stockton

7pm - 9pm. Learn and play. An hours teaching is followed by supervised play of pre-dealt hands

Wearside

7pm Beginners class

Whitley Bay

10am -12 Noon. Learn and play. Half an hour of instruction followed by general play.
